When I see the word hero, I see the words exponent, symbol, exemplar,  Idol, and central character. A hero is someone that stands from the others. They have courage to thing that we would never do to save or help the others. Most of them have big muscles, and superpowers. Like superman, that can fly and save innocent people from the evil persons. But people don’t necessarily have to own these things, they can be standard people. For example, Barack Obama is considered a hero by the whole world, because is stopping the war in Irak, although he can’t fly or spit fire. When I see the word rebel, I think of an insubordinate, mutinous, disobedient, insurgent and revolutionary person. A rebel is a person that is not scared of what the other people think, and to break the rules. But it depends from the point of view. For example, Martin Luther King is a huge hero for a lot of people, because he decrease racism in the United States. On the other hand, white people considered him a rebel, because he broke the rules sometimes, to reach his goal. A person can be both at the same time.

When I was young, I used to practice classical dance often. But then I stopped.  I lost my flexibility, and all I had learned to do. But at he beginning of the year, my mother suggested  to start it again. I wasn’t very happy about it, because I thought I was going to be very bad at it. And I really was. My first class was absolutely awful. I just couldn’t do what the teacher asked me, and was very embarassed because of the others girls who were dancing very well. I was frustrated, but I took it as a challenge. Now, the year is almost finishing, and I’m really getting better. I love it, and every single class is just a pure moment of pleasure. It’s a moment for me, whenI forget about all my problems, and homework.

Yesterday, I watched a brand new movie from Hollywood, called Confessions of a Shopaholic, directed by P.J Hogan. It’s about a girl (interpreted by Isla Fisher), who’s obsessed with buying clothes. She adores Fashion. All her life is about what she will be wearing the next day, and what is on the celebrities. A lot of girls today are exactly like her. Nothing else matters, just clothes. It’s like a competition among the teens: who has the most expensive bag. They don’t even know what fashion really is. For them, it is just a way to show everybody that they are better and that they have style. They consider that if a dress is expensive, it is pretty and makes them look rich. However, fashion is much more than a way of showing you’re better and you have money to buy expensive clothes. It’s art. Clothes should be just a way to show the world that you have your own style. I think that I don’t realize it very well, but sometimes I’m exactly like them. But it’s neither my fault, nor the girls’. That’s just the way society is.

When I was little, I lived in Switzerland. I always used to speak German with my parents. However, when we moved to the area in Switzerland where we speak French, I lost all my German while I was learning to speak French. I would really like to speak German perfectly again, but now that I’m older, it’s harder to learn a new language. I’m actually taking German classes at school. But the level is not great, and it is taking a lot of time. I wish I could go back in time so I would have not stopped speaking German.
